In September 2015, Peter Maloba joined Bridge as an ambassador. He had the responsibility of launching schools in new communities, and recruiting motivated staff to work as head teachers and teachers.

Peter was also involved in planning and organising community outreach events. This was to get parents to enrol their children at Bridge and engage the community in Bridge’s goals. “The outreach helped me to meet and work with people from diverse backgrounds,” says Peter, “This translated into more pupil admissions because of the life-changing education that is offered at Bridge.”

Peter was later promoted to the position of Leadership & Development (L&D) Supervisor with the core mission of providing support to teachers and head teachers for the smooth running of the schools. His passion for children and their academic excellence gives him a reason to wake up every morning to go out there and change the world.

“The teachers are at the heart of this. It’s my job to ensure that the teachers are motivated to teach, have learning materials like textbooks in time, and have the lesson guides in time for the next class. With lesson completion at nearly 98%, I know that every child who sits in a Bridge class can excel. Nothing beats that” Peter concludes.
