The public private partnership (PPP) in Liberia is an innovative programme designed to improve learning at scale in primary schools across the country. The PPP started in 2016 with eight non state actors partnering with the government. Now in its fourth year, Bridge is the largest of four non state partners, managing 170 of the 236 ‘Liberian Education Advancement Program’ (LEAP) public schools. LEAP schools are across 10 of the 15 counties in Liberia including some of the most remote regions, such as Maryland County in south-east Liberia.
As part of the government’s programme design the effects of LEAP (formerly ‘Partnership Schools for Liberia’ [PSL]) are being studied through an independent Randomised Control Trial (RCT).
