For the second consecutive year, Bridge pupils sat the Primary Leaving Exam (PLE) — 368 sat the exam in Eastern Uganda: 188 girls and 180 boys.

• Ninety-five per cent pass rate for Bridge pupils. 

Further statistics

• The Bridge pass rate was 4% higher than the national average and 8% higher than the eastern Average, where Bridge pupils sat the exam.
• Pupils were 8% more likely to be in Division 1 or 2 than their peers nationwide.
• Sixty-six per cent of children who had received three years or more of learning at Bridge, achieved scores in Division 1 or 2 compared to 53.4% nationally
• Seventy-two per cent of Bridge schools achieved a 100% pass rate coming from districts including Wakiso, Mbale and Soroti amongst others.

Girls education

• Bridge girls performed better than boys, both within  Bridge and nationally. Nationally, boys are 9% more likely than girls to be in Division 1 & 2. At Bridge, girls are 5% more likely than boys to be in Division 1 & 2
• Girls at Bridge are 15% more likely to achieve Division 1 or 2, compared to girls nationally.
• Bridge girls performed better than boys, both within Bridge schools and nationally.

Secondary schools

• Bridge pupils joined top secondary schools including Iganga College, Hope High School, Victoria View, Jinja Secondary, and St Florence.
